Sergeant Meerkat

A friend commissioned this from me on her graduation from Sandhurst, to be presented to a Colour Sergeant who everyone (including the colour sergeant) likened to a meerkat. The pace stick (google it! You’ll be amazed!) is made from two half-chopsticks fastened together with the smallest hinge I have seen in my entire life.

The beret, incidentally, was steamed into that shape while on the meerkat’s head. For obvious reasons, real soldiers cannot do this, instead having to wet and shape their berets by hand.
